Northwell Health Lab Centers are offering COVID-19 Molecular PCR Nasal Swab test and Antibody testing
Northwell Health Labs does not perform COVID-19 PCR (nasal swab) testing in children under the age of 5
- Simply call the office at 516-791-9010 to tell us about your symptoms or other reason for wanting a COVID-19 test. You will then be screened and asked to complete a COVID-19 screener and all on-line preregistration forms. The two tests offered will be explained as well as the differences between them.
- You will then have the opportunity to schedule an appointment for a telemedicine evaluation. Informed consent will be explained and obtained. You will have a consultation with the physician, COVID-19 counseling, education, guidance on next steps and follow-up will be provided by Dr. Hausmann. The cost of the telemedicine services as described above is $75.00. The processing of all COVID-19 specimens collected at Northwell Health Lab Center and sent to Northwell Health Lab for processing is covered by insurance.
- Dr. Hausmann will electronically send a prescription for testing to Northwell Health Lab, located in Cedarhurst or the location of your choice.
- You will then have the opportunity to schedule an appointment at any convenient Northwell Health Lab Center.
- Results are available within a few days.
- Dr. Hausmann will contact you to explain your results, give you guidance, additional COVID-19 counseling and education and give you the opportunity to ask any questions.
- Dr. Hausmann will call each patient to see how you are feeling.
